• Share real-time location information during emergencies
• Create safety circles with family and friends
• Access location history and check-in features
• Communicate with emergency contacts through the platform

Our Service is designed to supplement, not replace, official emergency services. In life-threatening situations, always contact your local emergency services (911 in the US) first.

3. User Responsibilities

By using ProtectSmartly, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and current contact information
• Obtain consent from individuals before adding them as emergency contacts
• Use the Service responsibly and not for false alarms or pranks
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Maintain a device with reliable internet or cellular connectivity
• Update your emergency contact list as needed
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Communications and Consent

By providing phone numbers and email addresses (yours and your emergency contacts), you consent to:

• Receive emergency alert notifications via SMS, phone calls, email, and push notifications
• Receive one-time passcodes (OTP) and verification codes for account security
• Receive service-related communications about account status and updates
• Allow your emergency contacts to receive alerts when you trigger an emergency

All communications are transactional and initiated by user actions. We do not send marketing messages without explicit opt-in consent. Standard message and data rates may apply.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Key points include:

• We collect location data only when you use location-based features
• Emergency alerts contain information you choose to share
• We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data
• We never sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties
• You can request data deletion at any time

6. Service Availability and Limitations

ProtectSmartly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive to maintain reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Service may be affected by:

• Network connectivity issues (cellular or internet)
• Device battery life or hardware failures
• Third-party service provider outages
• Maintenance and updates
• Force majeure events beyond our control

Important: Always contact official emergency services (911 or local equivalent) in genuine emergencies. ProtectSmartly is not a substitute for professional emergency response.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProtectSmartly and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:

• Delays or failures in alert delivery
• Inaccuracies in location data
• Actions or inactions of emergency contacts
• Misuse of the Service by users or third parties
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Users acknowledge that technology-based services have inherent risks and limitations. By using ProtectSmartly, you accept these risks and release us from liability related to service performance issues.

8. Account Management

You are responsible for your account security. To maintain account safety:

• Choose a strong, unique password
• Never share your login credentials
• Report unauthorized access immediately
• Log out from shared devices
• Enable two-factor authentication when available

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Account deletion will permanently remove all your data from our systems within 30 days.

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not use ProtectSmartly to:

• Send false emergency alerts or create panic
• Harass, stalk, or intimidate others
• Violate anyone's privacy or legal rights
• Transmit malicious code or viruses
• Reverse engineer or attempt to hack the Service
• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination and potential legal action.

10. Intellectual Property

The ProtectSmartly app, website, logo, and all related content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission.

11. Third-Party Services

Our Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., mapping providers, SMS gateways). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service performance or policies.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for:
