Not sure where to start?
If you have just installed the app, work through the setup guide first. It walks you through creating an account, inviting the two or three people you want alerted, and sending a test alert so everyone knows what one looks like before it matters.
If an alert did not reach someone, the usual cause is a phone setting rather than the app: background location turned off, battery optimisation pausing the app, or notifications muted for the contact receiving the alert. The troubleshooting pages cover each of these with step-by-step instructions for Android and iOS.
